Week 2 Day 2

Trying to save my voice a little today, as I'm opening a show here in NYC tonight.  I'll have a video up in the next few days though.  Some thoughts on week 2 so far:

Weighed in yesterday at 182.  That's 3 pounds under what I started.  I'm not a huge subscriber to numbers in pounds, as i fluctuate up and down daily.  That being said, I do think it's because of how I've been trying to follow the nutrition plan to the letter.  I'm doing the 5 meals a day like the Insanity diet, but I've added the twist from month one of P90X, and am trying to keep to one portion of carbs daily.  The problem with that, however, is that I feel like I don't have the energy to power through the workouts.  So I may have to change that.

As far as sore, I'm considerably less sore than last week this time.  I feel my body is adapting rapidly to the madness I'm putting it through.

I've got to change my workouts around due to my show schedule this week.  I have two days where i'm at the theatre for about 8-9 hours, so I'm getting creative.  The rest of the week looks like this:

Tuesday-Plyo Cardio Circuit (with Ab Ripper)
Wednesday-Shoulders and Arms
Thursday-Cardio Recovery (with Ab Ripper)
Friday-Pure Cardio
Saturday-Legs/Back (with Ab Ripper)
Sunday-X-Stretch

I am putting abs with the Insanity workouts this week to maximize times on Wed/Fri. and switching Fri/Sat workouts to accomodate for the space i'll be using to workout at the theatre.

Portability.  Adaptation.  Flexibility.  Three things that have attributed to the success of these workouts for me.  I can do them anywhere, I just have to get creative sometimes.  It beats trying to find a local gym, trying to adapt to new equipment, and dealing with gym looks/attitudes.  All you need is a space to move around (for Insanity) and minimal equipment and door frame (for P90X) and you're good to go!

Stay tuned for more craziness, and in the meantime, Bring It and Dig Deeper.

Scott
